Community outreach was an important part of developing the 2026 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS). Through public meetings, community events, surveys, interactive mapping, open houses, and discussions with local agencies and community partners, StanCOG gathered input about how people travel, where transportation improvements are needed, and what priorities matter most in communities across Stanislaus County.
This input helped inform the RTP/SCS vision, transportation priorities, project needs, and strategies for improving mobility, access, safety, and quality of life. The outreach process also created opportunities for residents and stakeholders to review draft materials, provide comments, and see how community perspectives contributed to the region’s long-term transportation plan.
