Like many Central Valley cities, Stanislaus County has been built around car travel, and much of its growth continues to rely on that system. Using recently secured grant funding, the Stanislaus Council of Governments (StanCOG) is working on four new plans to improve communities by planning for future development and enhanced transportation options in your neighborhood. These plans aim to analyze the current county structure to provide guidance for future development that would best serve the community…with your help!  

By investing in projects that people want and need, these efforts will create a unified approach to drive progress in housing, greenhouse gas reduction, and equitable access for all Stanislaus County residents.
